“Kiss You There” is a single by American country music artist Ronnie Dunn, released on June 4, 2013, as the lead-off single for his second solo studio album, Peace, Love, and Country Music. This album marked Dunn’s first independent release under his own label, Little Will-E Records, following his departure from Arista Nashville in 2012. The single was part of a joint effort with HitShop Records for radio promotion; however, after an unsuccessful run, Dunn and HitShop parted ways.

In a bold move to promote “Kiss You There,” Dunn staged an unconventional performance during the 2013 CMA Music Fest. He performed from the rooftop of a downtown Nashville restaurant, with the performance projected onto nearby buildings, and a flash mob of over 200 people dancing in the streets. This guerrilla marketing tactic exemplified Dunn’s innovative approach to reaching audiences outside traditional channels.

The music video for “Kiss You There” further showcased Dunn’s creative vision, featuring his image projected onto global landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty and Buckingham Palace, aligning with the song’s themes of love and universal connection.

Musically, “Kiss You There” represented a departure from Dunn’s traditional country roots, incorporating elements of electronic beats and a more contemporary sound. This experimentation received mixed reviews, with some critics questioning the blend of styles.

Despite its modest chart performance, peaking at #60 on the Billboard Country Airplay Charts, “Kiss You There” stands as a testament to Ronnie Dunn’s willingness to explore new musical territories and challenge the conventions of the country music genre.
