Donny Osmond Sings Disney Classic While Undergoing Surgery — Fans Are Moved
Legendary singer Donny Osmond surprised fans with a heartfelt video recorded right from his hospital bed. On July 9th, at age 67, Osmond shared a clip showing moments before and after undergoing an undisclosed medical procedure.
Just before heading into surgery, Osmond brought energy and determination as he belted out the iconic Disney anthem “Make a Man Out of You”—a song he originally performed as the singing voice of Captain Shang in the 1998 animated film Mulan. His powerful voice lit up the room, inspiring not only the medical team but also his audience online.
Later in the video, post-surgery and clearly weakened, Osmond continued to sing the same tune—this time softer, more fragile, yet deeply moving. The raw and emotional moment struck a chord with fans around the world.
Sharing the clip with his 212,000 followers, Osmond wrote:
“What better way to power through a procedure than singing your all-time favorite rally song?! I’m feeling all better now!”
His courage and optimism remind us all of the healing power of music—even in life’s most difficult moments.
