Introduction

A bold new chapter is coming to Provo Canyon.
The Osmond family has officially unveiled plans for the Vesper Amphitheater, an ambitious entertainment destination that could transform a longtime quarry site into one of the most spectacular music venues in the American West. Led by Donny Osmond and David Osmond, the project envisions a breathtaking 20,000-seat outdoor amphitheater nestled against the natural beauty of Provo Canyon.
More than just a concert venue, Vesper is designed as a year-round destination. Plans include an indoor configuration for winter events, scenic trails, gathering spaces, boutique shops, dining experiences, and stunning views of Mount Timpanogos. Developers say the goal is to reclaim and revitalize land that has been used for mining for over a century while creating a world-class cultural landmark.
If approvals move forward as planned, construction could begin in 2027, with an opening targeted for 2029. While the proposal has generated excitement among music fans and local leaders, it has also sparked discussion about traffic, environmental impact, and preserving the character of the canyon.
Whether viewed as a visionary transformation or a project that raises important questions, one thing is certain: the announcement has captured attention across Utah and beyond. The future of Provo Canyon may be about to take center stage.
