Rory Feek has shared some encouraging news about his 12-year-old daughter, Indiana — affectionately known to everyone as Indy.
After undergoing open-heart surgery to correct a congenital heart defect she had lived with since birth, Indy faced a long and challenging road to recovery. Just when it seemed the hardest days might be behind her, a frightening complication occurred when fluid began building up around her heart, leaving her family facing some incredibly terrifying moments.
But once again, little Indy showed just how much strength lives inside her small and courageous heart.
Doctors were able to treat the complication, and after eight days in the hospital, Indy was finally able to return home. Now, each new day brings another step forward in her recovery — slowly, steadily, and with hope.
Indy’s strength, her sweet smile, and her remarkable spirit have touched the hearts of so many people. ❤️🙏
