Introduction
**BROOKS & DUNN MAKE COUNTRY MUSIC HISTORY WITH A LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT HONOR**
After more than three decades of unforgettable music, Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn are receiving one of the highest honors in country music.
The legendary duo will be presented with the CMA Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 60th Annual CMA Awards on November 18, 2026. They will make history as the first duo ever selected to receive this prestigious recognition.
Since joining forces in 1990, Brooks & Dunn have built a career that few artists could ever match. With 20 No. 1 hits and 20 CMA Awards, they have given generations of country music fans songs that never seem to grow old.
From “Neon Moon” and “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” to “My Maria” and “Believe,” their music has become part of the soundtrack of countless lives.
What makes this recognition even more meaningful is the company they now join. Previous recipients include Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Alan Jackson and George Strait — names that helped shape the history of country music.
For Kix and Ronnie, this honor is about more than awards, chart records or album sales. It celebrates a partnership that has stood the test of time, bringing two distinct voices together to create something truly unforgettable.
They started as two artists with a shared dream. More than 30 years later, they have become one of the most celebrated duos in country music history.
Some songs become hits. Others become memories that last a lifetime. Brooks & Dunn have given us both.
**Congratulations to Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn. Country music is richer because of the music you have shared with the world.**
