By November of that same year, they were engaged, and on December 13, 1974, they were married.
Kathleen was studying education at Brigham Young University when she gave up her Miss Utah title to focus on her new life with Wayne. Throughout their marriage, which lasted more than 50 years, she remained a constant source of love, strength, and support – especially during Wayne’s career in music.
Together, they raised five children: Amy (born 1976), Steven (1978), Gregory (1980), Sarah (1982), and Michelle (1986). Their oldest daughter, Amy Osmond, went on to win the title of America’s Junior Miss in 1994.
